Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of GetStopover (“the site”, “we”, “our”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. Agreement to terms
By accessing or using GetStopover, you confirm that you’ve read and agreed to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. These terms form a binding agreement between you and GetStopover.
2. Who can use GetStopover
You may use the site if you are at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract in your jurisdiction. By using the site you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. What GetStopover provides
GetStopover is a comparison and content site for airline stopover programs. We aggregate publicly available program details and traveler reviews, and surface them so you can decide which stopover suits your trip.
We are not a travel agent, airline, hotel, or tour operator. We do not sell tickets, accept payments, hold reservations, or have any direct contractual relationship with airlines or hotels for the bookings you make. When you choose to book, you transact directly with the airline, hotel, tour operator, or our affiliate partners on their platforms and under their terms.
4. Accuracy of program information
We work hard to keep program information current — airline pages are scraped weekly, traveler reviews are aggregated from multiple sources, and ratings are recomputed as new data arrives. Despite this, program rules change without notice. The information on GetStopover is a guide, not a guarantee.
Always confirm details directly with the airline before booking — eligibility, hotel inclusions, layover windows, booking deadlines, and visa requirements can all change. We are not liable for losses caused by relying on outdated or incorrect information on the site.
5. Affiliate links and third-party bookings
Many outbound links on GetStopover are affiliate links. If you click one and complete a booking, we may earn a commission. This does not change the price you pay.
Once you click through to an airline, hotel, tour operator, or affiliate network, you are bound by that party’s terms and privacy policy, not ours. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, pricing, content, or conduct of those third parties. Any dispute about a booking, payment, refund, or service quality must be resolved with the third party that provided the service.
6. Visa, immigration, and travel risk
Visa requirements shown on GetStopover are based on publicly available data and are intended as a starting point. They are not legal advice. Visa rules change frequently and depend on your nationality, residency, route, length of stay, and purpose of travel.
Before traveling, verify visa, transit, and entry requirements with the relevant embassy or your government’s official travel advice. We are not liable for any denied entry, missed connection, or other travel disruption resulting from reliance on visa information shown on the site.
7. Intellectual property
The GetStopover name, logo, branding, original written content, ratings, and the underlying compilation of program data are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.
Airline names, logos, and program brand names belong to their respective owners and are used here for identification and editorial purposes only. Hotel and city imagery is licensed from Unsplash or used under fair use for editorial commentary.
You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not scrape, mirror, redistribute, or build a competing comparison product from our content without written permission.
8. Acceptable use
When using GetStopover, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these terms.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content beyond what robots.txt permits.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site.
- Interfere with or disrupt the site, the affiliate-redirect flow, or other users’ access.
- Submit false, misleading, or automated newsletter signups.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in any communication with us.
We may suspend or remove access for any violation, and we may report serious abuse to law enforcement.
9. No warranty
GetStopover is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that program data will be accurate, complete, or current.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GetStopover and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed flights, denied boarding, denied entry, hotel disputes, or any costs of substitute services.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the site is limited to the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve months, which for most users is zero.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on certain damages. In those jurisdictions, the limitations above apply only to the maximum extent permitted.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold GetStopover harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
12. Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the site at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections 7 (IP), 9 (no warranty), 10 (liability), 11 (indemnity), and 14 (governing law) survive termination.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we make material changes, we’ll announce them on the homepage or via the newsletter. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where consumer-protection laws of your country of residence give you a non-waivable right to a local forum.
