Troubleshooting

I don’t see any badges

Make sure you are on a supported flight-search site (see the list below), that the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions, then reload the page. Badges appear on the results as they load, so give the page a moment after you search.

The visa line asks me to choose my passport

Open the GetStopover popup by clicking the toolbar icon, then pick your passport nationality. The transit-visa verdict is specific to your nationality, so it stays hidden until you select one. Your choice is stored only on your device.

What do the badges mean?

A green or amber badge marks a flight that routes through an airline stopover program (a free hotel or free city tour). A red badge is a warning: a self-transfer on separate tickets, a US or Canada layover where you must clear immigration and re-check your bags, or a connection that may be too tight. Click any badge for the full breakdown.

Which sites does it work on?

Google Flights, Skyscanner, Kayak, Expedia, Trip.com, and Kiwi.com.

How do I claim a free-hotel stopover?

Click the badge to open the detail panel, then follow the link to the airline’s official site. Stopover perks must be claimed and booked directly with the airline. Booking through a third party usually voids them.

How do I remove the extension?

Go to chrome://extensions, find GetStopover, and click Remove. That also clears the data it stored on your device.

Your data

The extension reads flight results locally to show the badges and sends only your nationality and the destination country to look up a visa verdict. For the full details, see our Privacy Policy.
